Pad Thai Padel runs clubs in Bangkok and Bali, the Pad Thai Padel Academy, and a calendar of americanos, leagues and the Championship. These guidelines keep all of it recognisably ours: one green, one wordmark, one voice. Use them for every page, poster, WhatsApp icon, deck and dashboard we make.
Many people make Pad Thai Padel. It should still look like one club.
Coaches design WhatsApp posters, managers export reports, partners ask for logos, and the website gets rebuilt. Without shared rules every one of those drifts a little. This page is the answer to "how should this look?", with the reason behind each rule so new cases can be decided the same way.
01
So players trust us
A player who books a court, joins a group or reads a league table should feel the same club behind it. Consistency is what makes a small club feel established.
02
So anyone can make something
A coach in Bali, a designer in Bangkok or an agent building a dashboard should get it right without asking. Tokens, files and recipes are all on this page.
03
So each line stays clear
Clubs, Academy, Events and Data and ops speak to different people. Each gets a small, fixed set of differences on top of one shared core.
Principles
Five principles.
Every rule below comes from one of these. When a case is not covered, decide it with them.
1
Green carries the brand.
Our green is the one thing people remember. So: green heroes, green headers, green buttons. Orange is a spark, used once per view, never a second brand colour.
2
Player first.
Everything we make answers a player's question: when, where, what level, how much. So: lead with the facts they need, then the story.
3
Fair and clear.
Levels, prices, rules and results must be easy to read and the same for everyone. So: short sentences, real numbers, no small print, no hype.
4
Real courts, real people.
We sell a place and a community. So: our own photos of our own clubs and players. No stock, no neon, no fake energy.
5
Calm surfaces, strong type.
Cream ground, plenty of space and one bold serif headline do more than effects. So: no gradients (except the photo overlay on heroes), no glow, no emoji in brand surfaces.
The core
The core never moves.
Every line inherits these six things. Cover the logo and a page should still feel like Pad Thai Padel.
Mark
One stacked serif wordmark: Pad / Thai / Padel. White on green or photos, green or ink on light grounds.
Colour
Green leads, deep green grounds, cream is the page, orange is the one accent, ink is the text.
Type
Playfair 800 + Inter
A heavy serif for headlines, a clean sans for everything else. Never a third family.
Shape
Book a court
8px corners on buttons, cards and images. Primary buttons are 50px tall. No pill buttons, no sharp boxes.
Structure
Bali · How it works
Three steps to your first session
Kicker, then a serif headline, then a short grey lede. Every section opens this way.
Photography
Our clubs, our players, natural light, the green of the courts. Never stock.
Core in detail · Logo
The wordmark.
A stacked serif wordmark that reads Pad / Thai / Padel. It is the only logo. There are no line logos and no lock-ups with "Academy" or a city baked in; those go in type next to it.
Three colours, three jobs
White (#F4F4F4) on green, deep green and photos: this is the main use. Green (#376B5B) on cream and white. Ink (#111827) only where colour printing is not available or on the green tint.
WhyThe wordmark was drawn to sit on our green. Keeping it white on green almost everywhere is what makes the brand recognisable at a glance, from a WhatsApp icon to the club fence.
Clear space and minimum size
Clear space on every side = the height of the "P" in Pad (about a quarter of the logo height). Shown in orange.
Nothing enters that space: no text, no edges, no other logos.
Centre it, or align its left edge with the text column.

32px · minimum
Icon, below 32px
Minimum height is 32px on screens and 12mm in print. Smaller than that, use the app icon instead. Never stretch, rotate, outline, add shadows, recolour outside the three colours, or set the words in a line.

Contrast: green on cream and white on green both pass WCAG AA for text. Orange #F48134 does not pass on light grounds, so any orange text or button on cream or white uses Orange 2 #B85410 (white text on it passes AA). Bright orange is for dark grounds, dots and thin rules only.

The serif gives us character and warmth. The sans keeps prices, schedules and rules easy to read on a phone.

Rules
Headlines in the serif at weight 800, sentence case, short enough for two lines on a phone. Everything else in Inter (or the system sans when Inter is not available). Kickers sit above every section headline. Never set long text in the serif, never use the serif in tables, never add a third family.
Licence warning: Dashiell FineThe live site uses Dashiell Fine XBold for headings, but the file is a Fontspring demo. Demo files watermark punctuation and the digit 4, which is why the site limits it to letters only. Before using Dashiell anywhere else, buy the licence. Until then, use Playfair Display 800 (free, Google Fonts) as the licensed substitute. This page is set in Playfair Display 800.
WhyA heavy serif feels like a club with history, which suits a sport that is about people and tradition as much as fitness. Inter is neutral and very readable at small sizes, where most of our information lives.
Core in detail · Photography
Our courts, our players, daylight.
Photos do most of the selling. Use our own: the clubs, the coaches, the players and the places around the court.
Place: wide, sky, our greenPlayers in actionReal games, BaliDetails and hangoutsArchitecture, Bangkok
DoNatural light, straight verticals, the green of the court visible. People mid-play or laughing between points. Crop portraits tall.
OverlayText on a photo sits on a deep green overlay (#15231F, 35% to 88%, top to bottom). This is the only gradient in the system.
Don'tStock photos, neon or colour-cast filters, heavy vignettes, photos with another brand's banners as the subject, blurred crops stretched to fill.

Rules
DoShort sentences. "You" and "we". Real times, prices and levels. Say what happens next.
Don'tHype words, exclamation marks, small print, jargon, emoji on brand surfaces.
Say"programme", "how we coach", "sessions", "levels".
Never say"methodology". Titles: Alvaro is "Owner".
Player-first: start with what the player needs (when, where, level, price), then add the story. When something goes wrong, say what happened, why, and what we are doing about it, in that order.
WhyFairness is the core of a level-based club. If rules and prices read clearly, players trust the levels, the leagues and us.

The lines
One club, four lines.
Each line changes a few things on top of the core: who it is for, which accent it leans on, how it uses photos and how it sounds. Nothing else.
Line 1 · Clubs

Voice18 of 22 events ran. 3 were under the minimum, 1 was cancelled by the club.
DoLabel every colour; show counts, not only percentages.
Don'tRainbow palettes, 3D charts, or colour as the only signal.
One colour per booking source, the same in every panel and report, so a number means the same thing everywhere. Click to copy.
Booking sources
Checked for colour-blind separation (the four source colours stay apart for red-green and blue-yellow colour blindness). Brand green is a quiet colour, so in data views colour always comes with a text label. Occupancy heatmaps use one colour, from white to brand green #376B5B.
Event outcomes
Playtomic orange (#E2702A) is a data colour, not the brand orange. Keep the two apart: brand orange never appears in a chart, and data colours never appear on marketing pages. Under-minimum pills use dark gold text (#7A5A12) on a pale gold fill so the text passes contrast.

Which line?
Who is going to read this?
Answer that before you design anything. The answer picks the line, and the line gives you the accent, photos and voice.
